Voting in the second round of the presidential elections at Vernadsky special polling station has ended. Voting started at 8:00 local time (14:00 Kyiv time) and lasted about half an hour. At 2.30 pm, the election commission headed by the head of the 24 UAE Igor Dykyi drafted a protocol and sent it to the CEC at 14.40 via the Internet.

12 citizens of Ukraine took part in the vote, that is, all participants of the 24th Ukrainian Antarctic expedition.

We recall that during the first round of the presidential elections in Ukraine, 37 people participated in the expression of will – 11 members of the expedition and 26 scientists from the seasonal team who were at the station at that time. Last week a rotation took place, and only 12 polar explorers from 24th UAE remained at the station.

On April 21 the voting procedure was held in the premises of the famous Faraday Bar, which Ukraine inherited from British scientists.
