Information Letter No2

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

 Herewith we inform that abstracts drawn up in accordance with set requirements (see Information Letter_2) should be submitted to the Organizing Committee via email uac@uac.gov.ua  by April 1, 2019. Files should be named as follows: Smith_Abstract.

We also remind you that the Application form (Attachment 1) should be filled in and submitted to the Organizing Committee via email uac@uac.gov.ua  by April 1,  2019. Files should be named as follows: Smith_Application.

 Scientific and Organizational Committees

Form of participation: oral presentation, poster presentation.

 

  1. ABSTRACT REQUIREMENTS

 Abstracts should be presented in Word (Times New Roman, Line-spacing 1.0), Ukrainian or English language.

Abstracts should not contain any pictures or diagrams.

Abstract should be not more than one A4 page.  Format doc 97-2003, all margins – 2 cm, paragraph – 1 cm, text justified alignment, symbols from MS Word menu Symbol.

Text:

1) UDC without paragraph indent, left alignment (Times New Roman, 12 pt). Leave one blank line.

2) Abstract title without paragraph indent, left alignment, single line-spacing, capital letters (Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold). Leave one blank line.

3) Authors’ initials and name without paragraph indent, left alignment, single line-spacing, small letters italicize, speaker’s name underlined  (Times New Roman , 12 pt, bold).

4) Affiliation, city, e-mail address – without paragraph indent,  justified alignment, single line-spacing, small letters italicize (Times New Roman, 12 pt).

5) Leave two blank lines. The abstract text – single line-spacing, small letters (Times New Roman, 12 pt ).

 Note! Abstracts are not reviewed and not edited.The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject an abstract in case of its non-compliance with abstract requirements and conference themes.

 

  1. POSTER REQUIREMENTS

 Size: 85×120 cm.

Title (bold type, capital letters without abbreviations); make a paragraph when typing the author’s initials and name, affiliation, city, country (bold type, small letters italicize, speaker’s name underlined).  In the text you need to define Introduction, Objective, Object and methods of investigation, Results, Conclusions.

 

       3. CONFERENCE FEE

50 EUR

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

we invite you to participate in the IX International Antarctic Conference dedicated to the sixtieth anniversary of the signing of the Antarctic Treaty on December 1, 1959 in the name of peace and development, deepening international cooperation of scientists in the Polar Regions.

The conference will be held on May 14 – 16, 2019 in Kyiv.

 

Conference Organizers:

Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;

National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;

State Institution National Antarctic Scientific Center;

National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.

  • Earth Sciences (Geologic-geophysical research, Geoecology and other related disciplines);
  • Life Sciences (Biological, Medical-Physiological research and other related disciplines);
  • Physical Sciences (Hydrometeorology, Oceanography, Geospace and other related disciplines);
