Department’s priority work

• Organizational and methodological support for the implementation of tasks and activities of the State Special-Purpose Research Program in Antarctica
• Development and updating of scientific and technical research programs in Antarctica, technical requirements for Ukrainian Antarctic expeditions;
• Monitoring and analysis of the results of scientific and technical works to identify implementation objects that have commercial potential. Ensuring the protection of intellectual property objects, conducting patent research and registration of materials for inventions, know-how, copyright, sale of licenses;
• Creation of databases of Antarctic research, registries of tender, contract and reporting documentation of the National Antarctic Scientific Center, lists of publications based on research results;
• Participation in the organization and holding of International Antarctic Conferences and seminars on Antarctic issues, as well as ensuring the participation of NASC scientists in national and international Antarctic meetings, scientific conferences, seminars, exhibitions;
• Formation of the portfolio of the scientific professional periodical “Ukrainian Antarctic Journal”, books of abstracts of International Antarctic Conferences, bibliography of scientific works of Ukrainian scientists and specialists in Antarctic research;
• Preparation of reference and information materials, reporting documentation on NASC scientific and scientific and technical activities, results of Antarctic research and developments
