From the threshold to Faraday bar. A new 3D tour of Akademik Vernadsky station

We offer a new virtual tour of Akademik Vernadsky station, created by the biologist of the National Antarctic Scientific Center Yuriy Shepeta, who has been in Antarctica as part of the seasonal research expedition in January-March 2019. From the threshold, in front of which there is a signpost, which indicates the distance to the Ukrainian cities, you will get inside the station, into the dining room, biological and meteorological laboratories, the recreation area, get to the famous Faraday Bar, look at the generator block and even get to the station’s attic.

Come and travel. On the same page you can find a link to the virtual tour of the historic Wordie House, the very hut of polar explorers, of which the British Faraday station began more than 70 years ago.
